TIVAR® 1000
Standard Grade
TIVAR® 1000 is an engineered UHMW-PE with a molecular weight of approximately 5 to 10.5 million g/mol.
An excellent general-purpose material, TIVAR® 1000 is available as a compression moulded or ram-extruded semi-finished shape in various colours. Fabricated components can be machined out of semi-finished shapes.
TIVAR® 1000 sets the standard for engineered polymers with a unique combination of wear and corrosion resistance, low friction homogenous structure and impact strength.
TIVAR® 1000 is resistant to chemical attack and moisture absorption, and retains key physical properties to -269ºC.
TIVAR® 1000 (natural) is a cost-effective solution for food handling problems. TIVAR® 1000 complies with DIN 16972 [PE-UHMW, TG1 and TG2] and also meets FDA and USDA guidelines and has 3-A Dairy approval for food processing and handling.
