Since it was first introduced in the mid 1950's High Density Polyethylene (HD-PE) has since become a common fixture in the plastics world with applications ranging from household goods to pressure piping for potable and waste water.
Being lightweight and having very good chemical resistance this easy to fabricate material is becoming more widely used as a low cost alternative to traditional materials in the industrial field.
High Density Polyethylene (HD-PE) can be characterised by the following properties:
- Light weight
- Very tough, even at low temperatures
- Easy to machine and weld
- High chemical resistance
- High corrosion resistance
- Good sliding properties
- FDA approved for food contact
- Excellent UV resistance in Black colour
Fields of application: chemical tanks, scrubbers, cutting boards, pipes, bollards, dock fenders, rollers, washers, bushes.
